I too am a UNC grown physician, having graduated from both their medical school and Pediatric Residency Program. It was there that I had the enriching opportunity to work with a large number of Spanish-speaking patients, and I plan to continue that practice today.
In my former career as a middle school teacher in Durham, I developed a strong interest in working with adolescents. The importance of habits such as good nutrition, exercise, and structured peer activity were illustrated during my years as a teacher, as well as from countless personal lessons during an 18 year gymnastics career. I believe in emphasizing these healthy living habits in all my patients, and particularly in teens.
My incredible, ever-inspiring husband, Leo, and I have been blessed with a beautiful daughter Kaylee, an athletic son Bryce, and our brand new baby Shane! Our appreciation for the joys and challenges of parenthood have grown tremendously over the past year, and our belief in family and faith as the foundation in a child’s life has never been stronger.
I am so grateful to be part of such a special practice and am currently working evenings and weekends, appreciating every day as a stay-at-home mom.
I look forward to meeting you all and getting to know your unique and wonderful children.
