04/13/2020– COVID-19 UPDATE

Hello- Here at Village Pediatrics we are all well and hope that you and your families are too! The VP providers and staff are here to help care for your children ages 0-22. We are seeing scheduled patients in our Southern Village office from 8am to 5pm. Only well infants and children in the morning and sick patients in the afternoon.

We’re also able to treat many problems as Virtual Visits using internet video connection via Face Time or secure Zoom.  If you have a concern that you’ve been meaning to discuss with your child’s doctor, this is an ideal time to call!

To keep your family healthy, we recommend scheduling the following types of appointments:

  • Newborns and babies under 2 years of age will be seen in the office for regular checkups (birth and 2, 4, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18 and 24 months). These visits are so important to your infants health! At each wellness visit:
  • Your baby Is weighed and measured to monitor growth parameters
  • Your baby has a hands on physical exam to screen for serious illness
  • You have time ask questions and we provide anticipatory guidance
  • Your baby receives necessary vaccines (a resurgence in measles or whooping cough would be terrible right now!)
  • Afternoons are for sick visits only- please call for same day appointment
    • Fevers, sore throats, coughs, stomach aches can all be evaluated including any necessary testing
  • Virtual visits using Face Time or Zoom technology-
    • Routine medication follow- up visits for ADHD or mood
    • New onset concerns for ADHD, anxiety, OCD, depression
    • Behavioral concerns such as sleep challenges, picky eating, potty struggles, toddler tantrums, and setting limits with your teen
    • Chronic medical problems

  • If your child is behind on vaccines we can conduct a vaccine only visit in your vehicle in our covered parking lot!!

Our Services

Primary Care

Village Pediatrics provides a patient-focused primary care pediatrician to children of all backgrounds ages 0-21.  At Village Pediatrics, you will be listened to, respected, and comforted.  We want the best possible outcome for your family.

Sick Child Medicine

Do you need an appointment today? Is you child exhibiting symptoms that you are not comfortable with?  We address acute medical concerns for established patients today. Give us a call. We schedule appointments starting at 9:30 AM, or you can walk in from 7:30 AM - 9 AM, Monday through Friday.  Unlike some other medical practices, we stay open for lunch every day!

We always like to say that nobody knows a child’s health like their parents. If you are concerned, call us or log in for nursing advice or to book a same day appointment. We want to care for your child as quickly as possible when they are sick.  We reserve more than half of our schedule for acute needs and same day appointments.  As a result, more than half of all the children we care for booked their appointment today.

Well Child Medicine

Babies should be evaluated by a pediatrician at discharge, 2 weeks, 1 month, 2 months, 4 months, 6 months, 9 months, 12 months, 15 months, 18 months, 2 years, 30 months and 3 years.  All other children are seen annually to address health concerns and to make sure they are able to participate in strenuous activities such as sports or camp.

Insurance

Please bring in your most recent insurance/insurance card to every appointment because we are now requiring your insurance information, for every appointment. Thank You!

Forms

We love forms!  If your child is up to date on regular wellness and/or medication management visits, we’ll fill out your form at no cost.  We’d prefer 48 hours notice for this service, but if your school/daycare/employer is demanding it, we can sometimes get them done same day, or during a wellness visit.

Other Services

In addition to Acute and Wellness Medicine services, Village Pediatrics offers a board certified pediatrician on call 24/7/365.  Please call the office phone after hours to be directed to the on call pager.

Village Pediatrics Classes
